Dahalia's owners surrendered her to a human society in northern New Mexico for unspecified reasons. Dahalia is very thin and could use a little fattening up! She also is showing some food and resource guarding towards other dogs. For this reason we would prefer that she be the only dog in the home. She is great with cats. This is a very sweet girl who deserves a wonderful home for the remainder of her life. Please fill out an adoption application if you are intersted!
Update: Dahalia has bilateral torn cruciate ligaments. She will require both knees to be operated on. We are currently raising money for her medical treatment. If she is adopted prior to her surgeries her procedures will still be taken care of by us. No matter where this little girl goes we want to make sure that she has the absolute best life she can, and to do that she will need those knees operated on!
